A STEP TO HIDE HARD DISK DRIVE

There are many ways of securing data on a hard drive that are not easily found by other computer users. The common method to protect file or folder by giving password, but this way is still considered very inconvenient because every time you open should be preoccupied with typing passwords.

Here is one way of hiding one of the hard disk drive. Suppose that the computer has a 3 pieces drive as drive A (Floppy), C drive (Hard Disk C) and Drive D (Hard Disk D). Of the three above who want to hide drive is the D drive (hard disk D).

The trick is as follows:

1. Click the Start> Run and type gpedit.msc and press ENTER or click OK.
2. Click the + sign to the left of User Configuration
3. Click the + sign to the left of Administrative Templates
4. Click the + sign to the left of the Windows Components
5. Click Windows Explorer
6. Thesive Double-click Hide specified drives in My Computer
7. On the Settings tab select Enable and click OK

Close Windows Explorer and refresh or restart your computer and reopen the windows explorer, then dive that has been hidden earlier will not be visible.

Even if the file but the drive does not seem to open the drive is not difficult because just by typing D: and then press ENTER then the D drive will appear.
